iMac washed up on the shore??
I ordered this iMac G4 TFT on January 9th, and received it on February 6th. However, as you can see the machine arrived in a pretty bad shape... The computer was covered with mud and everything was wet, and the mouse was missing! According to Fedex the box was sitting on the bottom of the container which was flooded with two inches of water. I was horrified and called Apple Store immediately. I demanded a replacement, but they told me they can't do that because they don't have any new iMac in stock. They also told me that if I wanted a replacement right away, then they would have to charge my credit card... After a few minutes of discussion, the rep offered me to use the machine for up to a year, and if anything happens in the next 12 months, Apple will replace it with the new unit no questions asked. She also offered me a $100 credit toward the purchase of any Apple-branded merchandise, and promised to send a replacement mouse once it becomes available. Miraculously, after drying it the machine still worked. But I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else...
BTW, the machine is simply amazing!!
